Zimbabwe dollars phased out

Recommended Posts

Zimbabwe is phasing out its local currency, the central bank says, formalising a multi-currency system introduced during hyper-inflation.

Foreign currencies like the US dollar and South African rand have been used for most transactions since 2009.

Local dollars are not used except high-denomination notes sold as souvenirs.

But from Monday, Zimbabweans can exchange bank accounts of up to 175 quadrillion (175,000,000,000,000,000) Zimbabwean dollars for five US dollars.

  • Higher balances will be exchanged at a rate of Z$35 quadrillion to US$1.

Sounds like infinitecoin to me irl, maybe we should offer them a better alternative.

It's true

Since 2014, euro / dollars move a lot. one euros will be (maybe) equal at one dollar. The price of a lot of things, buy with dollars will have an augmentation in euros.

Whyyy it ???

If we buy, sell in our country, it's normal and good to use a currencie. Right know, it's not normal we buy in dollars and, in 2 months, sell in euros (with a not good price).

We must to use one currencie.

Well, to be honest the whole of europe should have been using Euros as it would be better for overseas transactions.

Yes  I think so too.

I think we should let the Alliance/Comission/Board/Leader advertise Worldcoin to the Central Bank of Zimbabwe.

Personally I don't want to do it but I'll let someone else to do that on my behalf.
